Role cover letter

Property Manager cover letter example and writing guide

Updated 7 September 2026

A strong property manager cover letter connects the vacancy to specific evidence rather than repeating your CV. Use the four UK examples below alongside the Property Manager CV guide, then replace every placeholder with a fact from your own record.

Square brackets mark facts only you can supply. Replace each prompt; never send the placeholders unchanged.

The role stays the same. The evidence changes with your starting point.

02

Write your own covering letter

Opening

Name the Property Manager vacancy, [Company name] and one genuine reason for applying. Then introduce the part of your background that best matches the advert. A specific first paragraph is stronger than praise that could be sent to any employer.

Choose your evidence

Choose two or three priorities from the advert and employer research. Give a short, credible example for each, covering what you did and the result. Depending on your record, relevant evidence may include repairs, building safety, budgets, stakeholder communication, property-management software, reporting or accurate compliance records. Check every claim against your Property Manager CV.

Build the body

Use a concise opening followed by two focused body paragraphs and a short closing. Let the first body paragraph prove one main strength and use the second to connect that evidence to the advertised work. Career changers should explain the reason for the move; internal applicants should state what they have achieved in their current position.

Format it

For an online UK application, use a salutation, short paragraphs, a conventional closing and your typed name. Keep the presentation plain and proofread the final version. The Property Manager salary guide can help you judge the level of the vacancy and select evidence with suitable scope, though pay does not belong in the letter.

Close and sign off

Finish by naming the contribution you want to discuss. Use "Yours sincerely," after a named greeting and "Yours faithfully," after "Dear Hiring Manager" or "Dear Sir or Madam".
