How to write a dental assistant CV
Format and length
One or two pages, reverse-chronological. Trainee nurses fit comfortably on one page; qualified nurses with post-registration certificates may need two. Use a clean, professional layout with clear section headings.
Header and contact details
Name, location (city), phone, email and LinkedIn. If you hold full GDC registration, add your registration number here or in your personal statement, it is the first credential recruiters verify.
Personal statement
Two to three sentences summarising your GDC status, NEBDN qualification (or progress toward it), years of chairside experience and key strengths (four-handed assisting, HTM 01-05, patient care). For trainee roles, state your commitment to the diploma and GDC registration.

This is the mandatory qualification for GDC registration. List it with the full title (NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing or Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing), awarding body (NEBDN or your college), and the year you qualified. Post-registration NEBDN certificates
These are extended-duty qualifications that differentiate you. List them in the Achievements section, not buried in education:

Blurring the dental nurse role with the dental hygienist's by claiming independent treatment like scaling or oral health assessments.
Frame your work as assisting and supporting the clinician. Unless you hold a separate hygienist qualification, do not claim independent clinical treatment, it reads as not understanding GDC scope of practice.
